I'm Louie Alfred L. Gomez and I'm already in my twenties.
Aside from blogging, I also enjoy reading books, listening to music, watching movies and American and British TV shows, pigging out (when the food is delicious), tweeting, and curing my lethargy.
My full-fledged blog which I aptly named "The Macroblog" (but update less frequently) can be found on LouieGomez.com

Anakata reminded me of Lisbeth Salander (one of the main characters in Stieg Larsson’s Millenium Trilogy). Both are Swedish, both are bad-mouthed, both ROCKS! Now, please excuse me, I still have around 50 pages left to read from the last book.
I read on Wikipedia that Kristen Stewart expressed interest in playing the role of Lisbeth Salander in the US remake of the Millennium trilogy. I was like “WTF is this?” and googled “Kristen Stewart Lisbeth Salander” quickly. The first thing on the results page was this. What a great news. I would have died if she were chosen to play as Lisbeth Salander. To me, that’s just so wrong on all levels.
For the first time, I could proudly say thank you to Twilight!
Noomi Rapace’s pitch-perfect portrayal of the character in the Swedish film adaptations have set the bar so high that the next actress is going to have to pole vault to reach it.

The Girl who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest
Note: This post has no spoilers.
From the three Millennium movies/books (although, I still have to read the books), I think this is the best and my favorite. The story is really captivating and it’ll surely glue you to your chair. The thrill that the story creates is something I haven’t felt in a very long time. It definitely beats any ride at your local amusement park.
If you’re into crime/mystery type of stories, I highly recommend this series. Even though I want to spoil everything for you, I believe you should have the chance to see it for yourself. If you’re interested to see the trilogy, be sure to check the first one, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” otherwise, everything would be mushy to you and eventually, you’ll get bored.
Stieg Larsson, you’re a fantastic writer. Alas, you died too early.
PS: I can hardly wait for the American remake of this trilogy.
