Fast Food Fanatic… Plus On Getting Stranded
Fast Food Fanatic
Since the fourteenth of last month, I’ve already eaten once in Tokyo Tokyo (I love their Ebi Tempura), three times in McDonald’s (I’m a cheeseburger fan), and four times in Jollibee. Maybe, there is something that they add in their meals they prepare which makes me and their other patrons come back for more, be it their specialties and even their desserts. I guess it’s Monosodium Glutamate (or betsin in the vernacular)… But MSG in desserts? That’s weird.
This all began back in the start of the second term when I met my friends who just can’t get enough of Jollibee and McDo (and when we get extremely long breaks, we even go to the mall to try other fast food chains). Prior to that, the only place where I frequently ate my lunch was in the school’s cafeteria. I’ve grown I’mune to the food they serve. Every vials that they prepare seemed to taste like with what I call generic foods (fried chicken, pork chop, etc.). But since those people I was with were fast food fanatics. I was forced to eat either in Jollibee or McDonald’s almost everyday.
I know, it’s not healthy, we can’t be exactly sure what are the ingredients of the foods that they prepare. Besides, we know for a fact that foods that were deep fried (like fried chicken and French fries) are rich in saturated fats. Seriously, I need to stop and control from eating such food1.
The only benefit you get is that there is only a small possibility that you’ll get contract diseases due to spoiled food. And in the event that you get such, you can sue someone and get compensation.

On Getting Stranded
Because of my high school friends’ persuasions, I decided to turn up to the meeting they’ve set a few days ago. I was hesitant at first because the previous week was another he’ll week. But yeah, in the end I met my HS friends. And we decided to watch a movie… guess what we watched? Due to unfortunate circumstances we watched Iron Man. I’ve already watched it last Tuesday and I didn’t imagine that I would watch it again. I had fun though. The last flick I watched twice in the big screen was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
After the credits were rolled (where we saw weird credits, there was a chef and even caterer, drivers) and the bonus snippet, it was time for me to go. This time, I had to transfer to another jeep to get home from SM Pampanga. It was drizzling when we left the mall. But when I got off the first jeep, the drizzle turned into a massive pouring of rain. I was stranded. Everyone in the street looked for a shed where they could stay for a few minutes, and that included me. With this, I’m grateful to the Burger Machine stall where I stayed for a few minutes to wait for a jeep. I was only stranded for ten minutes or less. I even posted a tweet while I was waiting. I was like calling every single saint known to man for the rain to stop, but it didn’t.
By the time I got home. I was totally wet. My pants especially the bottom part was wet. The back of my shirt was wet. My handkerchief was wet. My hair was wet. My Chucks were wet (my socks were spared though). It was as if I had a bath on the road! I’m fine now. I got home safe and sound, and as what I’ve posted in Twitter, I’m dry now.

Just finished reading For One More Day by Mitch Albom and so far, it’s my fave of the three novels of his that I own.

I’m a great big fastfood fanatic. Whenever we’re out and my mom asks where to eat, I always suggest to eat at KFC, then my mom would say, “Wala na bang iba?”. Lol.

My son loves Jollibee and McDo. I guess Happy Meal and Jolly Kids Meal has a lot do to about it.

I just read your comment about the USB mouse and it’s a nice coincidence because I just bought one at the mall. It’s a small USB mouse with a retractable cord. I still need to buy a router so I haven’t fully utilized my laptop yet. Weird, I was so excited when I got it but I’m using my desktop right now.

Haven’t had the chance to watch iron man. I’ve got mixed feelings about the cast. I love Downey but don’t feel the same way about Paltrow. Hehe .
Good thing you got home & didn’t have to spend the rest of the night out on the road! Sometimes, traffic barely moves when rain’s that heavy!

I ruthlessly HATE fastfoods since it’s flavorless to me. Can’t blame you though - it’s affordable. Mas gusto ko talaga ung mga pagkaing carinderia - lutong bahay, as what they usually brand it.

i love fastfood for convenience — cheap and well, fast! hahaha. it also houses a lot of memories since it’s usually my barkada’s choice of food. well, that’s what our pockets can afford. lol.
but i especially love mcdo’s chicken nuggets and bbq sauce. YUM!

I hate McDonald’s because the food is generally shit but when I’m hungry and can’t decide to what to it I result into drivethrough because it’s fast and it’s freaking guilty pleasure. Once you pop, you can’t stop. Hahaha.
Be careful of your f-f intakes!

I don’t mind eating even on fast food places. Jollibee, McDonald’s, whatever… I LOVE FOOD in general. I can’t say that their my favorite food I want to eat all the time, though.
And actually, people are telling that I don’t eat… I devour. Hahaha. Kidding.

I’m a fastfood junkie. Everyday akong laman ng McDo, Jollibee at ng kung anu-anong fastfood. Sobrang sawa na kasi sa mga food sa cafeteria. E since malapit naman ang Robinson’s Ermita, doon ako tuloy napapakain madalas. Magastos nga lang. Hmp.

I remembered my high school days because of the “On Getting Stranded” part. Twice akong na-stranded galing sa school. Unfortunately, I live in Valenzuela City, and rainy days are hell days as well. There was this night that forced me to cross the Tullahan Bridge even though the water level is as high as my waist. Super yuck experience talaga ‘yun kasi ang dumi nung river. Kailangan ko lang kasi talaga umuwi dahil may pasok bukas.

Chocolate sundaes of jollibee are a lot better than that of McDonalds. That is one fact I’ve observed being an ice cream fanatic! XD
anyway I am reading “five people you meet in heaven” by mitch albom. I’m close to finishing it but been very busy nowadays finding time for it. Hopefully I could finish it soon.
