The Most Amazing Frog

The most amazing…

…Race

Yes, the Amazing Race! The current season (all-stars) is the most amazing season that I’ve watched. It’s just saddening that David and Mary (the Kentuckies) had to say goodbye in yesterday’s episode. If Mary wasn’t not stupid not to read the road sign, they would still be in the race. After seeing them struggling and finished sixth place in the 10th season, I really hoped that they would last long enough in this season. Urgh.

What really makes the race exciting is because of Charla and Mirna! They are so war freaks! Last week, they had a row with the beauty queens (Dustin and Kandice). In yesterday’s episode, they argued with Teri and Ian, and in next week’s episode, we’ll see them confronting Rob and Amber. But still, I like them. They are really funny, especially yesterday. To quote Mirna, “I’m sorry I’m wearing a bathing suit; it is very weird, I know.”

Who am I rooting for this season? Of course, the ever competitive Rob and Amber! They’re amazing! They are the first team to win the first three consecutive legs of a race. And now, they have will have a trip to the Whistler Lodge in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, two off-road motorcycles, and two home gyms which they can enjoy after the race. Isn’t that cool? For the past three seasons, my prediction who will win the Amazing Race is correct. I just hope, my guess will still be correct this time. Lol.

And I hope that beauty queens will be eliminated next. Even though they are war freaks like Charla and Mirna, and their tactics are excellent.

Frog…

That’s it, frog. This is not about Crazy Frog. We started dissecting frogs in school last week. I though every meeting there would be a new frog for us to dissect. I was wrong, the frog that we skinned last week is still the frog that we study this week and for the rest of the weeks this March. When we don’t study them, they are put in a sealed container with formaldehye, also known as formalin. So when we get them every meeting, the whole laboratory would smell formalin. Cases of feeling pain in the eyes is normal because of it (it’s as if you peeled the skin of an onion).

Frogie (from Fergie), the name of our frog — suggested by my dissecting mate — had to die so we can learn every single muscle he have. Talamasca is right, memorizing the names of the muscles of the frog is a lot harder than memorizing the names of the bones of the frog. But, I’m only having a hard time in memorizing the muscles in the dorsal part of the frog (like ilio-lumbaris and latissimus dorsi). I’ve already memorized the muscles in ventral part (like sacro-radialis and sartorius). And that reminded me that I need to go now and memorize all the muscles of the frog for our test tomorrow. Great!

PS: Will somebody dissect Crazy Frog for me? He’s annoying. Really.
