Good but Brutal
No big spoilers down here.
I’ve already finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I’ve been reading it almost non-stop since 3:00PM of the 21st until 6:00AM this morning.
It’s my favorite among the series. I can’t still believe that the epic story of Harry Potter has already ended (or it isn’t yet?).
The good always wins. Love always conquers evil… and in this case, even death, though there are a few who should be sacrificed.
PS: I’ll write a decent and detailed (that means it has spoilers) review about the book once I have the free time, you see, it’s our prelims in our major subjects until tomorrow and I have to meet some deadlines. If my school was an horcrux, Harry would have to destroy it. Haha. Lol. Joke.
If you want to spoil the fun, or you can’t have the book now and want to know everything that happened, Wikipedia is the right place to spoil it. But once hp-lexicon.org has already finished its articles regarding the last Potter book, it would surely beat Wikipedia’s.

This is like, the nth HP post I’ve read today. Haha!
But I’m looking forward to your book review. Who can do it better than a die hard HP fan diba? Hehe!

Can’t believe it’ s over. I see your collection is a Scholastic collection. Mine is Bloomsbury
I love it too, although it was too much of a happy ever after thing for me of course. I’m not saying it’s bad! Maybe I was just shocked because I expected the worse to happen and that it would be a happily never after. But it has come full circle and I am soooo happy!

There’s a 7-book collection being sold at Ebay. Doing a quick Math, I dare say it’s a helluva lot cheaper, and I just might give it a try. Pero knowing myself…maybe not.
I’ve read the Wikipedia article a few hours after HP7 was released. I knew the story even before the ones who read the book, lol.

OMG! You have a Harry Potter book collection!!!
I hate you!
July 28, 2007 @ 10:19 am
Ate Ems: Uh, you have not explained clearly why you hate me now. I have some thoughts on why you saie that. But still, let me explain my side.
Sure, I have a collection of Harry Potter books and I like them. And I can’t deny that I’m an HP fan. But that does not mean that I believe them or I praise Harry or even JK Rowling. I’ve decided to read them just for pure fun. Nothing more than that. I know what believe and what not to. I can distinguish fiction from non-fiction. I know what can happen in real life and what would only remain as pure imagination. And I’m glad to say that I categorized HP as “fiction,” “pure imagination,” and “I-don’t-believe-it.”
After six years since I first laid my hands on the first Harry Potter book, I still believe that what’s important above all is our God.

I’m gonna buy the set of seven in the near future. And I’m going to re-read it from The Sorcerer’s Stone up to the Deathly Hallows. Plus the fact that it’ll look really nice on my bookshelf.

I feel a little sad too that the great series has ended. Hope you enjoyed the book and thanks for not putting any spoilers ‘coz I have yet to get a copy.

***POSSIBLE SPOILER****
Galing talaga ni Rowling! The fact na search for Hallows pala ang book and not for Horcruxes is what really surprises me in this book. Wala man lang yata nakaisip before kung anu yung Deathly Hallows.
I felt cheated at the ending though. Masyadong mabilis. After Voldy died, ilang paragraphs lang na-wrap up yung events. And I didn’t like the epilogue that much except for that one line na talagang naluha ako…”one of the bravest man” thing…

I freaking envy you. All HARDBOUND? Grrr. You’re so damn wealthy. Grrrr..

I had my e-book unread still since the day of the book launch. I’m not even through with the 3rd one. Perhaps i’m not an HP fan (but I managed to read the first two books non-stop during our intramurals when i was a high school sophie. )

gusto ko rin magkaroon ng HP books, kaso tamad ako magbasa, original DVD nalang siguro bibilhin ko kapag may home theater na ako, hehe
