A long stall

Yeah. This site will be in stall for a month. For short, hiatus. This is going to be my longest leave in the internet. So don’t expect me to be posting entries here until the 11th of the next month. I’m so busy at school… it’s the main reason and as you all know, I’m about to graduate from HS. I have to focus at my studies, especially now that we have so many things to do.

  • Offline annual (Computer) — Deadline: February 17
  • Two crocheted article (TLE) — Deadline: Two to three weeks from now
  • Wire resistance (Physics) — Deadline: February 20
  • Documentary (AP, Finals) — Deadline: February 28
  • Catering (Actual finals in TLE) — Dunno when we’ll have this
  • Go to UST — Sometime in March
  • Stories (Filipino, Individual) — Deadline: March 01
  • Finals — March 8-10 or 9-11
  • Diorama (Filipino, Group project) — Deadline: March 17
  • Graduation! — March 30

See? We have so much to do, especially me because I’m the one who is making the offline annual (we will still have the hard copy annual).

I just hope we won’t have any JS Prom anymore! It’s just another good way to waste money! I did not enjoy our JS Prom last year.

Oh, I’m still the top three of our class (and our batch)… stalled. I’m so glad that I’m still the top03!

If you’re asking why (sometimes) the default template of WordPress is the active template rather than my other layouts, it’s because WP has some bugs. After some hours after I activated my desired template, the theme reverts to the default layout. I still don’t know the solution for these bug but I think, the creators of WP already know this bug and are already working at it.

Mega ultra stampede

[EDIT] Someone was able to hack (sort of) my site. He/she changed the latest entry on my gbook stating that I stole the script that I used for my gbook. No, I did not steal it! It’s from codegrrl.com. I have a link to codegrrl over the links page! For the mean time, I will disable my askme and gbook. [/EDIT]

Today is the first anniversary of ABS-CBN’s noon time show Wowowee. Frankly speaking, I hate this noon time show. Well, because there are so few hosts and guests. But you have to know that this show is not for those people who are looking for entertainment (sort of); this show is for our poor countrymen who are trying to catch their lucks. A show that tells the people who are living in the slums that there is still hope. But there is still this fact that some are joining the games of Wowowee because of their personal necessities. Until now, I can’t believe that this noon time show have a very high ratings (am I right?).

The first anniversary of the said noon time show was to held at Ultra. But an unexpected accident happened.

The world turned up-side down in just a second.

A big twist of fate.

Instead of 20 tricycles, some taxi cabs and two million pesos (about $40,000) of prizes are at stake. Lives of many people were in danger. A stampede occurred this morning. If my resources are up-to-date and are correct, there are already 80 plus people who died, mostly are elderly women.

I only knew this news around 11:00am because I was surfing the internet. At first I was thinking, “Stampede at Ultra? Hu? Is there an event there at the moment? Is there a concert? Was there a bomb found that’s why there was a stampede?”

The reason: somebody tripped on a ramp. Very impossible eh? I can’t believe it that only because someone tripped, a stampede occurred.

The consequences: aside from those 80 plus people who died, there were hundreds of people who were injured, many children were lost in the midst of that tragedy and Wowowee’s first anniversary was not pushed through.

While I was watching the news, I got irritated again. Well, I was flipping the channels from ABS-CBN to GMA over and over again (the news was not yet at CNN nor BBC). And grr… there was this women that was interviewed by a reporter from GMA. She’s telling the reporter that she’s mad because she was not able to enter the auditorium. Wow! Does not she have any single piece of feeling? There was a mayhem that happened and then there are still stupid people who does not have any common sense! This is going to support my statement above (that those people who are joining Wowowee are greedy).

It’s so nice to hear that there are still many people who are helping these poor people. I even heard in the news that there are some who are giving flip flops to the victims. And I’m so glad that the management of ABS-CBN will shoulder all the expenses of the victims even though they have no faults whatsoever.

This day was supposed to be a good one for all of the people who went to Ultra, and now, it seems like that a dementor sucked all of our happiness.

This is the irony of life…

This is my way to express my sympathy to the families of the victims…

Howdy?

Hi guys! After a week of absence and no updates here in my site, I’m so happy that I can post here once again. I was out for some reasons: one, I’m so lazy. Two, school stuff. And three, doing my resolution for this year. I don’t promise that I can update my blog as often as last year. Hey! It’s Asteeg.Net’s first anniversary today! Woot! Yeah, new layout.

There are so many things that happened during my absence here in the internet but I will not post them all here.

Last Tuesday we had our field trip. I did not enjoy it. What a useless thing to spend 800 bucks… We departed from our place around 6:00am. And guess what? We had a sermon from our guidance counselor first thing in the morning! It’s because of my classmates. They’re too noisy and they were telling stupid thing about our bus. They will shout: “The air-cons are not working.”, “Ang sikip naman!” and even “Hay nako, sayang ang binayad ko, bus pa lang o!” Well, it’s their fault, they don’t know to respect other people. They did not even think that the driver and the tourist guide can hear what they are shouting!

[EDIT] We saw Drew (of UH) when we were along Roxas Boulevard. He was on shooting for UH. And oh, some of my classmates saw him also last year during their (I did not joined) field trip. What a coincidence. [/EDIT] First stop, Emilio Aguinaldo’s Shrine. His house is very old indeed and some of the things there smells like from-the-chest-of-grandmom. (Galing sa baul.) The house is so nice. I like old houses but not those houses that looks like haunted. Then we went to Tierra de Maria near Picnic Grove, Tagaytay City. The place is so nice and very quiet. There were images of the Virgin Mary there, even a 50 feet image! After that we had our luch at Picnic Grove. The tables are for rent (for 100 bucks). Our original plan was to eat on the grass but when we are already there we ate at the tables. We’re so lucky that nobody from Picnic Grove collected 100 bucks from us. Lol. We went sort of “hiking” there and the result is… we’re exhausted. Then we went to Gardenia Plant Philippines. When you entered the plant, you’ll feel that you’re burning! Lol. And in that place, you’ve got to wear hairnets. It was only then I knew that the breads that Gardenia produce are not touched by human hands! Astig! But I don’t like their breads. Period.

And for some unwinding, we spent two hours at Market! Market! before we went home. I don’t like that mall. Even though it’s so big and there are many stalls and stores I still don’t like it.

It’s on the bus where I enjoyed the field trip most. We were always laughing because of some of my classmates who always says bloopers.

And oh, as for my UST results, I passed it but I’m on academic placement (that’s what my cousin who study there told me). (Why did I chosed quota courses? Grr…) That means, I have to go to UST and look for other courses other that those I chosed. Then, I’m going to be on the waiting list.

You know what? I reckon, I’m losing my writing skills. I hate this. I can’t stick to one topic. Look at my previous posts to see.
