The verdict: HP HBP
Big spoilers about HP HBP below… read at your own risk…
After some few years after the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was released, the latest installment of the Harry Potter series was released on July 16 entitled Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
So let me start with my verdict: the book itself is good but it’s not my most favorite from the series. The transitions of events is very fast. You are reading about Dumbledore and Harry looking for a Horcrux then, after some minutes, the Dark Mark was conjured… There is too much romance in the book which I found (somehow) annoying (don’t forget the love triangle). Well, I enjoyed reading the book for four days. There are some twists in the book that you won’t even expect.
The story started with Cornelius Fudge talking to the Prime Minister of UK about what’s happening in the wizarding world, and he, being sacked from his position. It is Rufus Scrimgeour who took Fudge’s position. You will also know what is Snape’s real color here; he is a death eater, from the very start he is spying for Voldemort, not Dumbledore.
The reason why Voldemort did not died on the night he tried to kill Harry is also stated in this book - he made six Horcuxes - he divided his soul into seven.
Harry had his second girlfriend in this book, Ginny Weasley good thing Harry decided to end their relationship because he is afraid that Voldemort might kill Ginny. Ron, on the other hand will also have a girlfriend, “Lav-Lav.” Bill is going to be married to “Phlegm.” And Tonks will Remus Lupin. (Love is in the air… lol).
Some of you might be asking who is the Hallf-Blood Prince. He is none other that… SEVERUS SNAPE! I did not even thought that it will be Snape. I thought the Half-Blood Prince is going to be a ally of Harry. Draco Malfoy is a death eater! Wahhh… I did not also thought about this. And this one might be a shock to you: Dumbledore was killed! By whom? By the Half-Blood Prince!
The book is unique. I can’t wait for the last book to arrive (but I hope it is not the last one).

I liked the book…. though not as much as the previous 3. Feeling ko tama lang na medyo cliffhanger ang book 6 cause I’m betting that the last installment of the series would be jam-packed with all sorts of action.
Plus Rowling said there will be a lot more deaths in book 7.

The book was okay. Some things happened there that I really didn’t expect much. I found the ‘love is in the air’ thingy very… uhh, nakakakilig. Hahaha. I’m amused when Hermione and Ron fight. Haha. Very sweet=p Yeah the events happened really fast. My gosss. I super hate Snape. My goshh, I didn’t expect he’d be the Half Blood Prince.. nor did expect that he’d kill Dumbledore. It was so sad though.
Hehe. Anyway, book 6 revealed things.. lots.
So HP fans are really waiting for the book 7 to come out. Sadly, it’s the last of the series. But yes, I hope it’s not. Hehe. =D More deaths on book 7? =o Who might be killed? NOOO. =(
